How to install 5 ton single girder overhead crane
Actually, Yuantai Crane will send an English manual along with the Overhead cranes, but the manual is usually useful for some people who are technical engineers, machine maintenance engineers, or are at least familiar with Overhead cranes, making it easier for them to study and operate. When it comes to installation costs, especially for single girder overhead and electric hoists, the cost can sometimes exceed the value of the goods; in this case, some general installation guides or skills should be learned.

The red line is the power line, which is seamless and has a tensioner installed at the end (see first picture below); the second picture shows the installation of a current connector for connection with the power line and the overhead crane.

Spare parts should be installed on the overhead crane on the ground.
Two small boxes on one end carriage are overhead crane traveling limit switches to prevent overhead crane from being hit; there are no limit switches on the other end carriage. The electric control box is located on the main girder (wire connection drawing is provided).

Use the truck overhead crane to lifting the beam with hoist on the workshop.After installing the beam in the workshop, it is time for electrical commissioning. There are wiring connection drawings for the entire overhead crane and hoist, so just connect everything as directed. It will be easier to complete the work if there is an electrical engineer or electrician on site. If the beam is long, two truck overhead cranes should be used, typically one-third point on each side.

The last step and also the most important step: commissioning and testing
Please verify the following before testing:
- If the power source is incorrect—and different nations have varying requirements for power sources—it will have a major impact on the situation.
- Verify again that the wire connections are made and that they are located correctly.
- Verify that all of the bolt connections and welding components are tightened. Some components require on-site welding.
- The traveling reducer and lifting gearbox typically need to be greased on location; the amount of oil needed is indicated on the reduction and gearbox; add common machine oil as needed before starting.
- Last but not least, if the commissioning of an overhead crane fails the first or second time, check the wire connections constantly and keep trying until the crane moves smoothly.
