Common classification and characteristics of gantry cranes

The gantry crane is a kind of equipment that evolved from the bridge crane. It is usually used outdoors to handle the loading and unloading operations of cargo yards, stock yards, and bulk cargo. Its structure is a metal door type and carries the main body through two legs. Structure, it is characterized by high utilization rate, large operating range and strong applicability.

Gantry cranes are divided into the following two types:

1. Full gantry crane: the main beam has no overhang, and the trolley runs within the main span;

2. Semi-gantry crane: The outrigger has a height difference, which can be determined according to the civil construction requirements of the site.

According to the main beam form, it can also be divided into:

1. Single main beam gantry crane: simple structure, convenient installation, slightly weaker overall rigidity and double beam, suitable for occasions with large lateral space.

2. Double main beam gantry crane: strong carrying capacity, large span, strong stability, and high cost compared with single beam.
